Leadership Changes at MAC
March 1, 2018
Dear Friends of MAC,
I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have been associated with the Midtown Assistance Center (MAC) for the past twenty-four years. Although I could see myself at MAC forever, unexpected events have reminded me how fragile life is. I have found that it is time for me to step down from my position as Executive Director at MAC to spend time with and care for family members.
MAC has a solid thirty-one year history of carrying out its mission of homeless prevention. MAC provides a safety net for hard working people who have encountered a temporary financial emergency. This mission will continue under the leadership of Jennifer Jobson. Jenny came to MAC twenty years ago as a volunteer and a short time later, became Associate Director. She has been leading MAC during my absence over the past several months and the transition is official on March 1. MAC is in good hands with its talented, compassionate, dedicated, staff, board and volunteers.
I will miss being at MAC on a full-time basis but look forward to my new role as Director Emeritus.
Thank you for your support and for helping the Midtown Assistance Center provide hope for thousands of people every year.
With sincere gratitude,
Dorothy Chandler
