A Note of Thanks
In addition to our services to prevent hunger and homelessness, every holiday season, Midtown Assistance Center provides Christmas gifts to our clients. In 2018, thanks to our generous sponsors, we provided gifts to nearly 200 children. We received dozens of thank you cards from our clients, including this one from a mother of a five-year-old:
I hope that all is well and that you are enjoying the holidays. I cannot find the words to express how grateful I am for all that you’ve done for my children and I. I am a full-time working, single mom who strives to do my best each day and will forever appreciate the smiles and joy you bring to all of our hearts and faces. Thank you for thinking of us and being such a blessing! I plan to return to school soon to pursue my dream of working with mothers and babies as an RN and look forward to paying it forward in the future by being a blessing as well.
Thank you so much!
This client got behind last summer, when her hours were cut at work. We were able to help with a month of rent and utilities, keeping the family housed and stable. We reached back out towards the end of the year and invited them to participate in the Christmas program. Dozens of sponsors, including: All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Chapman Hall Realty, Consolidated Planning, Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, Fannie Mae, Maudlin & Jenkins, MAC’s Young Professional Council, Mothers of Preschoolers, Rabobank, Sacred Heart Basilica, Saint Mark Methodist’s Foundation Class, Saint Thomas More Catholic Church and individual friends and supporters bought gifts for the families we serve.
