Creating Personal Connections

MAC’s increase in space and easy access to public transportation has greatly enhanced our ability to be a life raft when our neighbors hit rough waters, helping them maintain their housing, pantry, and dignity as they work to get back on their feed.

The MAC team works with each of our neighbors in need to help them receive assistance as quickly as possible. The MAC assistance line is open Tuesday – Thursday from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Meetings are available by appointment only and can be scheduled online or over the phone. The interview spaces allow for the MAC staff to speak with each client about their experience and needs.

Neighbors in need of non-financial help can start here: Need Help Request – Non-Financial or call the assistance line. Those needing rent and/or utility assistance can check the website for openings in the rent and utility referral or call the assistance line for help.

Lasting Impact

Midtown Assistance Center follows up on all households we assist with rent and utilities. We have found that:

90% of people assisted with rent are still housed six months later and 84% of households still have electricity connected.

Referrals

When clients are ineligible for programs or need more than MAC can provide, staff can refer clients to partner organizations in the Metro Atlanta area.

ARCHI Collaborative: Matches you with a service provider in your area. These area providers work together to try to help more people experiencing a similar need. Fill out the Request Service Application or email Relief@ARCHIcollaborative.org.
