Client Story: Mr. W

Having been laid off from his job of several years at a nursing home, Mr. W was quite nervous about providing for his family. He had the foresight to realize he would need rental assistance in a few weeks and immediately called MAC. He filed for unemployment benefits and began a diligent search for a new job.

Mr. W was able to come up with half of his rent for the month, but asked the Midtown Assistance Center to help him with the remainder. Mr. W was grateful for MAC’s assistance and the peace of mind in knowing that he and his family would not lose their apartment.  Thanks to MAC and the unemployment benefits that would arrive soon, he was able to pay rent until he found a new job.
